A wonderfully elegant vintage round wall mirror dating from the 1970s, featuring a slim frame in translucent smoked-brown plastic and two contrasting chrome-effect details.
This model is attributed to the well-known French bathroom furnishings manufacturer Allibert. An identical example—with the same proportions, brown plastic frame and chrome-effect connecting elements—has been documented by a specialist European vintage design gallery as an Allibert mirror from the 1970s.
However, as this particular example no longer retains its original maker’s label, we prefer to describe it as attributed to Allibert rather than make a definitive attribution.
The restrained circular form, smoked-brown colour and contrasting silver details give the mirror a distinctly Space Age and Mid-Century Modern appearance. It was most likely originally intended as a bathroom or vanity mirror, but its clean design also makes it perfect for an entrance hall, bedroom, dressing area or modern living space.
The frame and all structural and decorative elements are made from plastic. The two silver-coloured details are chrome-plated plastic rather than metal.
The mirror remains in good, fully usable vintage condition, but it shows visible signs of age and previous use. The plastic frame has scratches, scuffs and areas of surface wear. The mirror glass has several small age-related spots and some light hazing. These imperfections are visible on closer inspection and are consistent with the age and history of the piece.

Several original hanging points are fitted to the reverse, allowing the mirror to be positioned securely on the wall.
